Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kind of appliances do you repair?

Waco Appliance Repairs can repair most refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, stoves, hot water heaters as well as other household appliances in most brands and models.

  • What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

  • Do you charge by the hour?

We do not charge by the hour, rather we charge for the cost of parts used and the necessary tasks it will take to repair your appliance.

  • Will the technician call me before he arrives?

Yes, usually our technicians will give you a 30 minute heads up before they arrive.

  • How long to repairs take?

We typically will have your appliance repaired the same day you call, with the average repair being around 3 hours. In the unfortunate event that we have to order a part, then this will not be the case.

  • Do you have any warranties?

Yes, we have a 30 day service warranty on all repaired appliances and a 1 year warranty for the parts we use.

  • Why is my dryer not drying?

The most likely cause is a clogged or kinked air vent or duct. A quick check to see if this is the problem is to turn on the dryer and see if you feel air coming our of the vent. If you have low flow and it's not warm, then this will need to be checked and possibly cleaned.

  • Why is my refrigerator leaking water?

This is most likely caused by a clogged defrost drain. To prevent the fridge from freezing, it automatically defrosts itself and water drips into a pan at the bottom of the fridge. Food can easily fall into this drain and get backed up causing water to leak onto the ground.

  • Why is my refrigerator/freezer not cooling down?

If debris and dirt cover the condensor coils, this can lead to your refrigerator/freezer not cooling down quickly. These should be cleaned atleast once a year. If not, the compressor will be working overtime to cool off the refrigerator which will severly limit the lifetime of it. Compressors will be an expensive repair.

  • Why does my washing machine have a foul smell?

After every cycle, dirt and scum will get trapped inside the seals and gaskets off the washer causing a foul odor. Run a cycle using vinegar and backing soda to try to break the dirt and scum off. If that doesn't work, our technicians will be able to disassemble all your washers parts and clean them to help with the smell.

  • Why does my washing machine shake during every cycle?

This is most likely caused by an imbalance in all 4 feet of your washing machine. Try twisting each leg of the washing machine untill it is perfectly balanced to prevent the shaking.

  • Do you sell parts?

No, we do not sell parts. We are only an appliance repair service.
